An old man has three sons. The sons fight every day. The father is sad. “Please be friends,” he says. But the sons do not listen.

One day, the father says, “Bring me some sticks.” The sons bring ten sticks. The father ties them in a bundle. “Break the bundle,” he says. The first son tries. He cannot do it. The second son and the third son try too. They cannot break it.

Now the father takes one stick. Snap! It breaks easily. “Together you are strong,” he says. “Alone you are weak.” The sons understand. From that day, they are friends.
