A girl carries a pail of milk on her head. She walks to the market. “I will sell the milk,” she thinks. “Then I will buy some eggs.” “The eggs will become chickens. I will sell the chickens.”

“Then I will buy a beautiful dress,” she thinks. “Everyone at the party will look at me. I will say no to many boys.” She is so happy. She shakes her head and smiles.

Splash! The pail falls from her head. The milk goes on the road. All her dreams are gone. She goes home sad. “Do not count your chickens before they hatch,” she says.
