It is a cold winter day. A farmer walks in the snow. He sees a small snake. It is almost frozen. “Poor snake,” says the farmer. “I will help you.”

He puts the snake inside his coat. It is warm there. At home, he puts the snake near the fire. Soon, the snake is warm. It moves again.

But the snake is angry. It bites the farmer. “Ouch! Why do you bite me?” cries the farmer. “I saved your life!” “I am a snake,” says the snake. “That is my nature.” The farmer learns his lesson. Do not trust a bad friend.
